Headbanger is a serial killer terrorizing the Elon University campus, one of two active at the same time in Alamance County, North Carolina. He acquired his name from his MO (modus operndi), or the way in which he commits his crimes. In this case, he bashes the victims on the back of the head with heavy objects found on site, landscaping rocks.

He's a dark-haired, Caucasian male between the ages of 28 and 35. Eye color is unknown. He will be physically attractive, upwards of six feet tall and strong with an athletic build. He will be a high school graduate working in a blue-collar position at the university where he has the opportunity for heavy contact with the public, though he has limited social skills. He will live in his comfort zone...somewhere nearby...within walking distance to the campus and will lack reliable transportation. When apprehended, police will likely find a sizeable collection of pornography, his main outlet for sexual release, inside a cramped and dirty residence, probably a small, older house.

Students, faculty, and staff should take caution whenever navigating the capus on foot, especially those between the ages of 18 and 26. Avoid being outside alone after dark. If possible, and travel in groups at all times.
